Counsellor MBACP
My name is Debra, though most people call me Deb. I work with people who are finding life heavy, confusing, or harder than it used to be.
These feelings often surface most strongly at times of transition – midlife changes, the shifts of perimenopause or menopause, moving away from home, starting university, becoming a parent, losing a job, bereavement, career changes, or retirement. Moments like these can stir up old patterns and leave you questioning your place, your relationships, or even your sense of self.

If this speaks to you, it doesn’t mean you’re broken. You’ve been protecting yourself in the best way you knew how. But what once kept you safe may now be making it harder to feel connected, understood and real.
Sessions and Fee's
Each session lasts 50 minutes and is charged at £50. I offer both short-term and longer-term therapy, depending on what feels right for you and your needs.
Your first appointment will be an initial assessment session (also 50 minutes, £50). This is an opportunity for us to meet, talk through what brings you to counselling, and think together about whether psychodynamic therapy could be helpful for you. It’s also a chance for you to get a sense of how I work and whether you feel comfortable moving forward. There is no obligation to continue after this session.
If you’d like to find out a little more before booking, I also offer a free 15-minute phone call. This can help you decide whether you’d like to arrange an initial session.
Issues I can help with
Anxiety, Depression, Bereavement, Loss, Trauma, Family Issues, Health Anxiety, Relationships, Sexual Abuse, Low Self-Esteem, Personality Disorders, Self-Harm, Suicide, Bullying, Neurodiversity, Stress, Work Issues, Infertility, Redundancy, Abortion, Childhood Abuse, Perimenopause, Menopause, Addiction, Affairs and Betrayals, Burnout, Illness, Loneliness, Post-natal Depression, Perfectionism, Body Issues/Dysmorphia.

Contact Me
You don’t need to have everything worked out before starting therapy. You only need to be willing to begin. If this feels like it could be a safe space to start exploring what’s going on, I’d be glad to hear from you.
